First of all, today I had to suffer hearing kids talk about Halo 3 all through the school day, luckily for me the real Halo fanboys stayed home to play it. I don’t have a problem with Halo, but I do have a problem with kids who disrupt class by loudly talking about how they camped out for it and how it’s the “coolest game ever,” especially when they’ve barely played any games outside the Halo series. I haven’t played Halo 3 yet, but I watched the ending on YouTube and have seen enough gameplay to conclude that it looks the same as Halo 2 to me. Surely I’ll find out what’s new when I end up playing it though. I could never play Halo seriously like so many kids do. The online community is something that I never want to be a part of and the environment/mapping and characters bore me beyond belief. I will say that playing Halo with a couple of friends on LAN is awesome though, the gameplay is great and you know the people that you’re playing with so they don’t have internet anonymity to allow them to act shit faced without consequences, such as getting hit with a keyboard.

This classic series of Penny Arcade comics express my current feelings very well, just replace Playstation with Xbox and it will relate to the current situation better:
The Sucking: Origins

Then, I came home to find out that all my torrents were stalled and the reasons why:

I couldn’t find any good legalize propaganda for P2P, so I threw this image together.

If you aren’t a gamer then you might not be aware of these couple upcoming films, if you’re a gamer you still might not know about them so I thought I’d bring it up.

Here they are in chronological release order:

1. Postal (September 28, 2007)
The films is based on Postal, a game known for extreme violence…and it totally sucked as a sequel to Postal. You can watch the trailer on the official Postal The Movie website. It’s a “shock comedy” that will indubitably be politically incorrect.

2. Hitman (November 21, 2007)
From a game series that I enjoy very much comes a good looking trailer, and hopefully the movie will be too. The story of Agent 47 is laid out and he goes from being the hunter to the hunted with the Interpol and Russian Military after him. It looks promising as an action film and I’m looking forward to seeing it, all the Hitman games have great story lines that would work well as a movie so this should be a great movie. Go to the official Hitman movie website to watch the trailer and download the wallpaper. The actor who plays Agent 47, Timothy Olyphant, is an odd choice though. Agent 47 always appears very serious in the video game series, in the movie trailer Timothy Olyphant looks strange and baby faced with the bald Agent 47 look on.

3. Alice (July ?, 2008)
Lewis Carroll’s famous tale combined with American McGee‘s twisted tale of Alice. This is the movie that I’m looking forward to the most.
Alice (2008) at the Internet Movie Database.
