Why is it that many people still have no idea of what the Nintendo Wii is? Nintendo hasn’t started marketing it too much yet. I think that this is a good delay, Nintendo won’t be bombed with demand on their launch date, people just now hearing about the Wii will be able to wait a bit for theirs, and people like me will be wearing cleats to conquer the long lines at the store…I’m joking, my Wii has been pre-ordered.
Nintendo’s $200 Million marketing campaign for the Wii begins.
Only six days remaining…
I was browsing through the launch titles and these games caught my eye:
- The Ant Bully– Another Bugdom/A Bug’s Life-like video game. I know that I don’t want it, but someone will buy me it and then I won’t put it down until I’ve beat it.
- Call of Duty 3: I’m not a COD fanboy, but I know enough people who are to know that I need this.
- Red Steel– Katanas + guns + Unreal Engine + Wii = I’m so there
- Tamagotchi– A lovable egg video game!? Who needs to sleep when you have a pixelicious pet to take care of?
- Trama Center: Second Opinion– It reminds me of that one Invader Zim episode where Zim goes into Dib’s body in a shrunken Irken space ship and attacks it, and then Gaz battles Zim remotely, as if it were a video game.
As far as PC gaming goes right now, I probably won’t be doing much other than classics and Tremulous until Unreal Tournament 2007 and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars are released.
GameStop had an offer today for pre-ordering the Nintendo Wii. I now have one on pre-order. 🙂
The Nintendo Wii console will come with the following items packed in:
- hardware system
- 1 Wii remote
- 1 nunchuck
- cables, sensor bar, console stand
- copy of Wii Sports, including Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling, and Boxing
I also have The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on pre-order.
Red Steel is another intense looking game that has caught my eye.
I’m really hoping that Nintendo will remake the Power Glove for the Wii, the Wii controllers all look awesome, but a Power Glove would be the ultimate.
November 19th…just a wii bit longer.
Me and Diablo II have been re-united. You have been warned.

The full multiplayer component of F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) has been released, and for free! A notable time when a game released an online only version for free before was Wolfenstien: Enemy-Territory, which still holds a huge online community and is still free. Hopefully F.E.A.R. will have team gametypes in multiplayer and be a huge success too. I can’t wait to try it out and see if multiplayer has slow motion. 😀

I just switched from Ubuntu Dapper 32-bit to Ubuntu Dapper 64-bit for performance reasons, and so that I could run an SMP kernel. (I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+, the X2 stands for Dual Core) When I installed all my games and messed with the 32-bit ones to get them to run in 64-bit, I decided that since Zombiepox is freeware, I might as well document my installation and then make an installer script for it. Getting Zombiepox to run in 64-bit was a bit more trouble than in 32-bit, so I made a 32-bit shell script and a 64-bit shell script for all of you linux gamers out there.
You can find the zombiepox package here.
Be sure to check out the Free Lunch Design website, its full of awesome freeware arcade games.
Many of you have known but to make this official, I am making a RPG.
Right now it:
Has no name, but it will go by the code name “Bitchy” until I have decided a name for it.
Is about 4% done programming wise, and I have about 35% of the game’s ideas and plot done.
Will at most be done before summer break will be over. At least a few weeks after summer break has started.
But because Tinny wanted me to, here is a screeny:
